Books and packaged products in new and re-sellable condition may be returned within ten days for a full refund.
Recreational Class Cancellations
Single Evening Class
If you are unable to attend a class, you must cancel at least five days in advance to receive a refund, retain a credit, or transfer to another class. Without the five-day notice, the registration fee is non-refundable. You may, however, send someone to class in your place. Please notify Cook Street of your substitution by calling 303-308-9300.
Classic Techniques Series Classes
In order to cancel or transfer from a classic techniques series course you must notify us at least five days prior to the start date of the first class in order to receive a full refund. Without a five-day notice the registration fee is non-refundable. If you miss a class due to unforeseen circumstances Cook Street will only allow for one make-up class.
Recreational Class Age Requirements
Due to the nature of our kitchens and that cooking is an inherently dangerous activity, Cook Street asks that all participates be over the age of 18. This is for your own peace of mind as well as for the comfort of our other guests. The exception to this policy is our Holiday Gingerbread Class, which has no age restrictions. Wine, beer, and cocktail classes require that participants are over the age of 21. Please see individual class descriptions to confirm age policy or call 303-308-9300 for more details.
Private Event Policies
School Facility Fee
A non-refundable $500 facility fee is required to reserve your requested date. This is a separate charge from the price per person and applies to all functions, regardless of the size of your group.
Deposits & Final Invoice
A 50% deposit based upon your estimated number of guests is required two weeks prior to your event date or at the time of booking if the event is within less than two weeks. The date will be released if this deposit is not collected and the $500 facility fee will be forfeited.
Guest Count & Menu Selection
Final menu selection, including any food restrictions is required 10 days prior to your event. The final guest count is due ten days prior to the event — you will be billed for this number of attendees, plus any additional guests the night of the event.
Time of Event
All events begin at 6 PM unless special arrangements are made prior to signing the contract.
Cook Street will retain the 50% deposit and the facility fee if an event is canceled with less than two weeks’ notice.
Children Participating in Private Events
Because cooking is an inherently dangerous activity with hazards such as sharp knives, boiling liquids and hot stoves and ovens, Cook Street does not recommend that children under the age of 16 attend or participate in any private cooking event. Children 16 to 18 years of age may participate at a private cooking event with a signed release by a parent or legal guardian. For any other event, children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Cook Street will charge half of the per person price for children under the age of 12 only when the guest count exceeds the minimum. All children must be included in the final guest count.
A gratuity is included in the cost per person for each event.
Payment in full is due 48 hours after your event. A final invoice with adjustments for guests in attendance exceeding the final guest count, additional beverages consumed at the event, and applicable tax will be generated and emailed to you within one business day of the event. Payment will be charged to the card on file unless prior arrangements are made.
