ACF Apprenticeship

Graduates of the Cook Street’s Professional Culinary Arts Program are encouraged to participate in the ACF Colorado Chefs Association Apprenticeship Program.  The Apprenticeship Program offers the opportunity to "earn while you learn", placing you in an approved and paid employment position under the direction of a qualified chef. 
Apprentices can also earn college creditstransferable to any Colorado community college by attending classroom training once a week at the nearby Metropolitan State College.

Apprenticeship Program Benefits:

  • Get Paid to Learn - Apprentices earn market rate based on their level of skill and experience for every hour they work.
  • Experience - Apprentices will gain at least one year of valuable, real on the job training and experience in their industry.
  • Education - Classroom learning on important, relevant industry topics including Sanitation, Management and Nutrition.
  • Credit Transfer - Colorado community colleges will accept up to 40 semester credit hours earned in the Apprenticeship Program.

All fees for the first year of this two-year program are included in Cook Street’s tuition. The Apprenticeship Program is only available for Cook Street 180° Students.

The Apprenticeship Program is also eligible for VA benefits under the GI Bill.
