In our Intensive I series, we cover the advanced foundations of cooking and cuisine in learning techniques that apply across the board. With principles borrowed from our Classic Techniques: Essentials I & II series, we’ve assembled a course taught by the Executive Chef & Executive Pastry Chef of our Professional  Culinary Program that is geared toward the home cook seeking further education. Taught from a classic French and Italian perspective on food and cooking you’ll gain the skills needed to help you move beyond cooking from recipes and learn to be an inherently better cook.

What to Expect: Hands-On

Get ready for an in-depth culinary exploration. All hands on deck…you’ll help prepare the meal you eat.

Your class will be fun and informative, with an in-depth and hands-on view of the subject matter at hand. Arrive on time and wear comfortable shoes: you’ll be on your feet much of the night. Please come prepared to enjoy a meal at the end of the class. We’ll serve a charcuterie platter with house-baked bread and a welcome cocktail at the start of class.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

Single-Evening Class

If you are unable to attend a class, you must cancel at least five days in advance to receive a refund, retain a credit, or transfer to another class. Without the five-day notice, the registration fee is non-refundable. You may, however, send someone to class in your place. Please notify Cook Street of your substitution by calling 303-308-9300.

Classic Techniques Series Classes

In order to cancel or transfer from a classic techniques series course you must notify us at least five days prior to the start date of the first class in order to receive a full refund. Without a five-day notice the registration fee is non-refundable. If you miss a class due to unforeseen circumstances, Cook Street will only allow for one make-up class.

Age Requirements

Due to the nature of our kitchens and that cooking is an inherently dangerous activity, Cook Street asks that all participants be over the age of 18.  This is for your own peace of mind as well as for the comfort of our other guests.  The exception to this policy is any of our Kids Class series, which are all-ages.  Wine, Beer, and Cocktail classes require that participants are over the age of 21.
