Description

The Chefs at Cook Street are here to help you level up in seafood! You’ve mastered the art of the basics in our Seafood 101 class and now it’s time to increase your skill set. We’ll discuss oysters including selection and purchasing, shucking and the accouterments. Things get interesting when we poach octopus and show you how to sear it off and finish a beautiful dish. And you thought you had fish fillets figured out? Now’s your chance to really up your game with the infamous Monkfish! You’ll learn to grill this hearty fish and understand the basics behind all seafood on the grill. We’ll serve the meal you help prepare along with dessert.

What to Expect: Hands-On

Get ready for an in-depth culinary exploration. All hands on deck…you’ll help prepare the meal you eat.

Your class will be fun and informative, with an in-depth and hands-on view of the subject matter at hand. Arrive on time and wear comfortable shoes: you’ll be on your feet much of the night. Please come prepared to enjoy a meal at the end of the class. We’ll serve a charcuterie platter with house-baked bread and a welcome cocktail at the start of class.

Age Requirements

Due to the nature of our kitchens and that cooking is an inherently dangerous activity, Cook Street asks that all participants be over the age of 18.  This is for your own peace of mind as well as for the comfort of our other guests.  The exception to this policy is any of our Kids Class series, which are all-ages.  Wine, Beer, and Cocktail classes require that participants are over the age of 21.
