We will provide the Theme each month as well as the wines that our Resident Sommelier will be tasting. If these wines are not available in your area, you may substitute another wine from the same growing area, the same "style" and the same price range. The wines listed may be found at www.totalwine.com.
Preparation for the Event
- Tasting Glasses – you will need 3 identical clear wine glasses with stems.
- Environment
- A computer equipped with a camera and speakers (and/or a headset)
- A pencil or pen to complete your tasting form
- A white background for evaluation. This can be a napkin or a blank piece of paper
- A glass of water
- A spit bucket, wine opener (or Coravin if you have one)
- Print out the tasting form and the tasting reference.
Try Some Food with your Wine and Evaluation the Pairing*:
Just for fun we will be evaluating how well different types of food pair with our Zinfandel. Plan to have a few of these food items to try:
- Barbecued Meat (sauced with your choice)
- •Pepper Steak
- Hamburgers
- Mexican Dishes
- Pizza (red sauce) or Spaghetti with Meatballs
*Food is not provided, please procure at your favorite restaurants and shops.
